YAA Photographers plan virtual presentation

Noppadol “Nop” Paothong will be featured in a special presentation during the Yaquina Art Association Photographers’ virtual meeting on March 1.

The Yaquina Art Association Photographers will be holding a special virtual presentation during their Zoom meeting at 7 p.m. on March 1. 

“Shooting Nature and Landscapes” will be presented by renowned nature photographer Noppadol “Nop” Paothong.

Paothong is a conservation photographer and an associate fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP). He is also a staff wildlife photographer with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Paothong has been documenting rare and endangered species, primarily grassland grouse and their fragile habitat, for more than 20 years. He has published two national, award-winning large-format books, “Save the Last Dance” (2012) and “Sage Grouse, Icon of the West” (2017). His images appear regularly in many national publications, such as Audubon, Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife, Ranger Rick, and others.
