Virginia Ann Fisher was born on October 10, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington to Eugene and Margaret Hallan; and passed away in Lincoln City, Oregon from the effects of Alzheimer/Dementia while a resident at the Lakeview Senior Center on October 13, 2020. She moved to San Diego with her family at the age of four; and attended public school there graduating from Grossmomt High School, Grossmont Junior College, and San Diego State University. Virginia earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors in nursing and happily chose to work in both the obstetric and pediatric fields for more than 30 years; she also ran a foster home for newborn babies and participated in numerous medical missions in Central America. Virginia married her husband Mark in San Diego on August 15, 1970, and has two boys, Jacob Eugene and John Ross waiting for her in heaven. Virginia is survived by her husband Mark William Fisher, son John Lawrence Fisher (Annie) of Gales, Oregon, and three sisters, Diane Vance of Iowa, Pamela Wingate (Steve) of Ohio, and Pat Key (Frank) of California. She also leaves two nieces, Hannah Stark(Justin) of Newport and Andrea Hindman (Eric) of Georgia; and two nephews, William Vance (Jessica) of Iowa and Matthew Nadelson of California. A funeral will be arraigned once Sacred Heart is allowed to hold services.
