Forest Service Road 17, which leads to the Drift Creek Falls trailhead near Lincoln City, is temporarily closed while forest restoration activities are underway.
Work is underway and tentatively scheduled for completion around Nov. 20, depending on weather. Visitors can access Drift Creek Falls trailhead using an alternate route by taking Bear Creek Road from Highway 18.
Heavy equipment will be on Forest Service Road 17 throughout the project and will block access to all traffic, starting at mile post 10.8 from Highway 101 and ending at mile post 10.0 from Highway 18. If work is delayed, updates will be posted on the forest’s social media and website.
