Thomas Ronald Wright II passed away at home in his bed June 7th, 2017 in Newport, Oregon. Tom was born in Portland, OR to Thomas (Ron) and Shirley Wright. He was older brother to David, Cyndi and Richard. Tom loved family and his friends. He was the type of person who would do anything for a loved one - at anytime and anywhere. Tom was a natural comedian with a wonderful, often wicked and always quick witted sense of humor. His tastes were varied and eclectic, which not only made him knowledgeable but a very interesting person.
Painting was simply a part of Tom. He expressed himself as an artist through his oils. He was a talented watchmaker for many years and although it was no longer his profession, he would always have a clock or two and some watches around that he could tinker with. He had a variety of interests including cooking - owning a small restaurant for a short period of time and the Valley Falls Stage Stop in Lakeview, OR. He admired antiques, classic cars and classic rock. He was a lifelong fisherman, particularly taking joy in Salmon fishing. Animals were one of Tom’s primary passions. As a young man he always had a menagerie of exotic and domestic pets.
Tommy was preceded in death by his dad and his little brother Richard. He is survived by his mom, Shirley Wagner, his brother, David (Cynthia) Wright, his sister Cyndi Arbona, nieces and nephews; Freddie (Maggie), Nichole, Jessica and Gabriel. He also left behind many good friends and his best buddy Ali, Border Collie extraordinaire, whom he loved dearly. She was truly the light in his life and brought smiles to patients everywhere he took her to brighten their day.
Goodbye Tom, sleep well. You will be missed.
