String quartet to perform in concert

Neskowin Chamber Music series continues

The Alexander String Quartet, which is celebrating its 36th year as an ensemble, will present a concert in the Neskowin Chamber Music series on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m. at Camp Winema. It replaces the Lark Quartet, which was unable to come. The Alexander String Quartet has performed in the major music capitals of the world on five continents. It is widely admired for its interpretations of Beethoven, Mozart and Shostakovich, and its recordings of these works have been acclaimed by critics everywhere. It is also known for its advocacy of new music and has commissioned a number of works in that genre.
