Siletz Valley halts Eddyville’s late rally

SILETZ — Something had to give between the two teams battling for sole possession of the third place and a spot in the Mountain West League playoffs. In the final game of the regular season, the two schools separated by 20 miles went down to the wire with the Siletz Valley Warriors prevailing over the Eddyville Charter Eagles 59-55 on Thursday, Feb. 8. Momentum swung in the Warriors’ favor once Eddyville’s Keagan Spikes went to bench midway through the first quarter after picking his foul of the game. The Warriors ratcheted up the pressure and closed the quarter on an 11-2 run.
