The Oregon Coast Children's Theatre/Oregon Coast Children's Center for the Arts is announcing final registration for its upcoming animation, theater, puppetry and video workshops.
Students work in "Toy Theatre" to present a short children's story, learn puppetry and animation techniques, as well as theatrical design. In the final stages of the workshops, they videotape their work, which then can be used for their own portfolio. Some students will have the opportunity to create their own story in a short animation.
This is an introduction workshop for students in fourth through 12th grades. The registration time will be on Wednesday, July 10, at 4 p.m. at the Oregon Coast Children's Center for the Arts, located at the Olalla Center at 321 SE Third St. in Toledo.
People who want more information, or who have a conflict during this scheduled registration time, can call Larry Adrian, artistic director, at 503-801-0603, or email [email protected].
Workshops are free to Oregon coast youths thanks to foundation support, including the Oregon Cultural Trust, Lincoln County Cultural Coalition, Sponenburgh Memorial Trust, East County Community Partnership and the Flowerree Foundation, as well as other supporters. OCCT/OCCCA is also looking for a touring educational art specialist for part time work. This is a paid position, and people can contact Adrian for information.
