Arts committee seeking affordable restoration

NEWPORT — City officials and the public arts committee are looking to find artists who might be able to help restore some of the murals in the Bayfront area. Catherine Rickbone, chair of the Newport Public Arts Committee, said the murals down at the Bayfront are some of the most visible kinds of public art, because they are quite large, and they draw people in as they tell a “story.”
