Those who have been keeping an eye on local bays and the ocean may have noticed some very high tides lately. What do these high tides, known as King Tides, mean for the short term, and what could sea level rise mean to the areas along the coast?
The MidCoast Watersheds Council invites the public to attend two presentations, by Fawn Custer and Fran Recht, on Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m. in Newport. The talks will be held in room 205 at the Newport Visual Arts Center at Nye Beach. Refreshments will be served.
