Orton Kaminski passed away at home in Newport, Oregon of a terminal illness and natural causes at the age of 90.
Orton was born in Delake, Oregon to Irene and Ben Kaminski on October 11, 1927. Delake merged into Lincoln City in March
Orton served in WWII as a Merchant Marine. He married J. Irene Kaminski on September 3, 1948 in Newport, Oregon and they have three children. He is a member of the Newport Church of the Nazarene.
After years of owning and fishing his own Salmon Trawler, he retired as Longshoreman in Newport, ILWU and as Commercial Fisherman. He loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and building as well as travels to Alaska.
Orton is survived by his wife of 70 years, Irene Kaminski of Newport, OR and his children: Joanne McKee (Rick) of Bend Oregon, Keith (Susan) Kaminski of Toledo, OR, and Ruth (Mark) Ross of Newport, OR; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, mother and all siblings.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene.
