Nine complete Emergency Medical Responder course

The Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue District recently hosted and taught an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course, a 54-hour course that follows the National Curriculum for Emergency Medical Training for EMR’s and consists of classroom lectures and hands-on practical skills training.

Four members from Seal Rock Fire District and five members from Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue successfully completed the written and practical tests at the end of the class. They are all now eligible for certification through the Oregon Health Authority as an emergency medical responder.
