Newport Recreation Center has lots to offer this New Year, including exciting classes that can help with resolutions.
Those looking to eat healthier can learn to make healthy drinks with Ester Robles on Jan. 11 for just $45.
Looking for more exercise opportunities? Check out some of these classes, to name a few:
Dance Fit is a fun new aerobic dance workout with Victor Cortez; On a Roll, with Jamie Butler, is 30 minutes of muscle relaxation and tension relief through guided foam roller movements and mat stretches; On the Ball, with Jamie Butler, is a class geared to all levels focusing on core workouts using fit balls to improve balance and muscle tone; and Gentle Flow Yoga with Sallie Inman is a great class for beginners.
And there are artistic opportunities, as well. Lisa Hall is offering a Paper & Mixed Media Art class with a wooden art project on Jan.15 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for just $20 each. Participants will take home a completed project at the end of the class.
Ester Robles will teach Jewelry Making for Adults on Saturday, Feb. 8, and Gift Box making later the same day.
Just want to make more fun memories? Try the Super Awesome Scavenger Hunt in Newport, on Jan 23-26. Registration is $50 for a team of four to participate.
