Family medicine physician Dr. Erin Guiliano, DO, has joined Samaritan Health Center - Newport, and is now seeing patients of all ages.
As a primary care physician specializing in care for the whole family, Guiliano has a special interest in women’s health, adolescent medicine and pediatrics. She brings to the clinic an emphasis on preventative health, the management of chronic diseases and the prioritization of mental health care in overall wellness.
Guiliano, who earned a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and a medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences, COMP-Northwest in Lebanon, recently completed a residency with Samaritan Health Services Family Medicine Residency Program in Corvallis.
She looks forward to building her practice in Newport.
“I am excited to provide high-quality, compassionate medical care in a geographic area with one of the greatest needs for primary care services within the Samaritan system,” Guiliano said. “I feel that Newport is a place where I can truly make a difference, and I am thrilled to start my practice here.”
Guiliano’s love for medicine grew during her work with the Student Health Center at Oregon State shortly after her graduation in 2000. When the opportunity arose to further her medical education, she was eager to get started.
“As soon as I learned that a new medical school was opening in Lebanon, I jumped at the opportunity to pursue my medical education and become a physician,” she said.
Guiliano has lived in Corvallis for more than two decades. She and her husband recently welcomed a daughter and are raising her four older children there.
Dr. Guiliano sees patients at the clinic located on the second floor of the new building at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. She can be reached at 541-265-8816.
