When Sheila Greenawald purchased the Holy Toledo Tavern in March of 2017, she soon realized the business had a lot of untapped potential. Now, just over a year later, she is completing a major renovation project that has more than doubled the space and allowed her to add new services, including family dining.
“I immediately started making changes,” Greenawald said. The tavern had only been selling beer and some wines, and she added a full bar. She also brought in video lottery machines and began offering a menu of something other than typical bar food. And she expanded the hours — Holy Toledo had been open limited hours prior to her taking over.
