News-Times columnist Bobbie Lippman has been a contributor to Chicken Soup for the Soul for much of their more-than-25-year history and has had stories published in many titles — including Chicken Soup for the Soul’s latest book “Think Positive, Be Happy,” which is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other book stores.
Lippman’s story, “Think like a winner,” appears on page 115 in the chapter of stories called “The Power of Attitude.”
As always, Lippman donates copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul to all the public libraries in Lincoln County.
This latest story is a humorous account of the time Lippman dedicated a few months to entering sweepstakes and contests. She was determined to prove to her skeptical husband Burt that she could win a substantial prize by following rules she learned in a special class called “How to enter and win contests and sweepstakes.” After winning a fully-loaded Ford Escort station wagon, Burt never doubted his wife’s determination again.
