Lincoln City looks to alleviate workforce housing crunch

Public-owned properties top list of solutions

LINCOLN CITY — City officials hope Thursday’s mail will bring a solution to the town’s affordable housing crisis, even as employers are being urged to build dormitories to shelter low-income workers. There was optimism this week that developers would respond to a March 15 deadline for propositions to build workforce housing on three city-owned properties being offered for sale as lower-priced home or apartment sites.
