Having healthy relationships of all kinds in our lives are important to our psychological, physical and spiritual wellness, but sometimes, how we communicate with each other gets in the way.
In a seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Center for Health Education in Newport, participants will gain skills to begin communicating effectively in all relationships.
Led by Deborah Lyman and Dr. David Long, this informal and fun seminar will help participants discover what gets in the way of being clear and effective when connecting with others, and how useful techniques can make a difference.
Lyman, a licensed clinical social worker, works in private practice, counseling couples, individuals and families. Long, an internal medicine physician, provides primary care in Newport and cares for patients of Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.
The seminar is free and open to all. Registration is not required. For more information, call the Center for Health Education at 541-574-4952.
