Judy Johnson passed away on October 31, 2017 in Newport, Oregon at the age of 72. She was born on January 14, 1945 in Everett Washington where she stayed through high school. She went on to live in many places, including, Wenatchee, WA; Missoula, MT; Boise, ID; Casa Grande, AZ and a couple of years roaming the country in an RV.
Judy always loved the Oregon Coast and made her dream come true when she moved to Brookings-Harbor, Oregon in 2004 and then on to Newport, Oregon in 2011. She lived in an RV park next to the water in both places and greatly enjoyed her lifestyle. Her ashes were spread on one of her favorite beaches in Newport so she can enjoy her beloved Oregon Coast for eternity.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vernon Grover Friend, stepmother Muriel Friend and her mother, Sarah LaVonne Douglas Griebling and her stepfather Earl Griebling. She is survived by her brother, Merlin Friend (Lois) of Tualip Bay, Washington, her sister Colleen Delk-Marshall of Snohomish, Washington, her daughters, Ann Frisk Libengood of Boise, Idaho and Susan Frisk Cadwallader (Adam) of Westminster, Colorado.
Judy had a great fondness for dogs and was known for being a silly sap around them. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter in her name.
