Joel Dean Cloe passed away peacefully after a long battle with Cancer connected to his service in Vietnam, on May 28th, Memorial Day in Pasco, WA. at the age of 74.
Joel is survived by his mother Jeanne Cloe of Newport Or; wife Linda Cloe of Richland WA; brother Don Cloe in Las Vegas; sister Linda Shultz of Alamo, CA; children: David Cloe of Spokane, Dan Cloe and Deana Bower of South Beach, OR., Mark Brown, Kevin Brown and Stacy McCorkle of Tri-Cities; and 12 grandchildren. His father Amos “Tate” Cloe of Newport preceded him in death.
Joel was born on December 27th 1943 in North Bend, OR. to Jeanne and Tate Cloe. He graduated from Newport High School in 1962. Joel traveled the world working on many projects in the Seafood industry. Joel married Linda in a small ceremony in 1988. After moving to Edmonds, WA. Joel began working for Trident Seafood’s as a Project Manager in Akutan Alaska, Henningsen Cold Storage and later at PermaCold. Joel retired in 2006 and started playing more golf. Joel also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going to the casino.
The family is honoring Joel’s request that no services or viewing will be held. Family and friends will be having a celebration of life BBQ to laugh, joke and tell stories.
