NEWPORT — Local golfers will have another big shot at amazing prizes and fun during a ‘Scotch Ball’ tournament at Agate Beach Golf Course on Sunday, Aug. 25, to support the new piano room at the Newport Performing Arts Center.

The annual OCCA Golf Tournament is presented by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, with proceeds earmarked for the completion of the Rowena Martin Piano Rehearsal Room. Martin is the mother of Agate Beach G.C. club pro Terry Martin.

The entry fee per player is $40, with a registration deadline of Aug. 23. Checks should be made payable to OCCA. To register by phone, call the pro shop at Agate Beach G.C., 541-265-7331.
