Glenn Warfield, 93, of Toledo, Oregon passed away of natural causes. He was born April 21, 1924 in Morgan, Oregon to James Edward Warfield and Dottie Wiles.
After high school, Glenn joined the U.S. Marines and served in the South Pacific from 1942-1945. He married Mary J. Uhlar on November 4, 1953 in Reno, Nevada. Together they had six children: Scott, Sam, Rod, Terry, Marianne and Valerie.
Glenn worked in the timber industry until 1965 then worked for Lincoln Crane 65-68. He went on to start Warfield Industries and retired in 1988. In his retirement he farmed his 60 acres till the end.
He was active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and spent some free time welding yard sculptures.
Glen is survived by his 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held on March 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Eureka Cemetery in Newport. Following will be a Celebration of Life at Toledo Elks. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Toledo Elks.
