Eagles Lodge plans virtual walk to benefit charities

The North Lincoln Eagles are inviting people to join them for a virtual walk to The Dalles (180 miles) to benefit the Alzheimer’s/Golden Eagle charities of Oregon.

Pledge sheets may be picked up at the lodge on Fridays, from 3 to 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, from 9 to 11 a.m., or call an Eagle friend and pledge per mile or a flat amount.

This fundraiser is a “virtual walk,” taking place in the Lincoln City area, with each walker hoping to achieve the 180-mile distance to The Dalles, arriving in time for the Pacific Northwest Regional Conference.

Funds raised will be donated to pursue a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. This fundraiser will end Oct. 15.
