Did you catch Game 2 of the College World Series Wednesday night?
If you didn’t, let me fill you in on the part that really matters.
With two outs in the ninth inning, Oregon State’s Cayden Grenier looked like he had just popped out in foul territory for the final out of the College World Series. The Arkansas Razorbacks were about to be crowned the National Champions.
But the ball somehow drops between three Arkansas defenders in foul territory. Seconds after OSU’s season appeared over, the game continued.
If you’ve watched enough baseball, you can guess what happened next. Grenier singled to tie the game, then Trevor Larnach sent a laser over the right-field fence. Beavers win 5-3 and force a Game 3, which will decide the national champion.
