Drive-in movies in Lincoln City

The Bijou Theatre, Lincoln City Cultural Center and City of Lincoln City are shown a drive-in series of classic movies to be presented on Saturday evenings, from July 25 through Aug. 29. They will take place in the east parking lot of the cultural center, located at 540 NE Highway 101 in Lincoln City.

With an FM transmitter for stereo sound and a large, 12- by 22-foot silver screen, it’s sure to be the best way to pass time social distancing in your car. The parking lot opens at 8 p.m. on Saturday evenings, and the movie will start between 9 and 9:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 per carload, which includes a free, large Bijou popcorn. They can be purchased at the Bijou, located at 1624 NE Highway 101 in Lincoln City.

The schedule of movies is as follows:

• July 25 “Yellow Submarine Sing-Along” (1968);

• Aug. 1 — “Jaws” (1975);

• Aug. 8 — “Back to the Future” (1985);

• Aug. 15 — “Psycho” (1960);

• Aug. 22 — “The Goonies” (1985);

• Aug. 29 — “American Graffiti” (1973).
