Depoe Bay sailing ahead with $18 million plan


DEPOE BAY — The first project under a new $18.8 million harbor master plan will get underway next week when a marine construction company begins demolition of a decrepit wharf. The removal of the rickety wharf at the northwest corner of the six-acre port, described as the world’s smallest navigable harbor, will create new moorage space for small, fair-weather sport-fishing boats, according to City Superintendent Brady Weidner.
