Denver firm gets money to find money


Funding sought for upgrades to dam

NEWPORT — Denver-based public works company Dig Deep Research will receive more money from the city of Newport for work the firm is doing on finding money for seismic upgrades to the dam at Newport’s Big Creek Reservoir. A $244,000 task order was awarded to Dig Deep Research after the Newport City Council opted to continue services with the Midwestern firm on Monday, Aug. 6. Approximately $216,000 of the $244,000 task order is designated for hourly funds, city officials said during the meeting, and the rest is for reimbursable expenses.
