Data shows missing eclipse tourists just stayed at home

LINCOLN CITY — The mysterious whereabouts of up to 100,000 visitors that failed to show up at the coast for the Aug. 21 solar eclipse has been discovered by the head of the town’s tourist agency. Ed Dreisdadt, director of the Lincoln City Visitors and Convention Bureau, said that most of them watched the celestial event from the comfort of home.
