Culinary students lauded


Career Tech kids get the VIP treatment

LINCOLN CITY — Career Tech’s culinary students ended their program with a fish cooking class by local chef Rob Pounding, and were hosted in the Rogue River Room at Chinook Winds Casino in commemoration of a year where they learned more than how to cook. The two events were the frosting on the cake for the four students in Kathryn Deeds’ class. Deeds, the culinary advisor at Lincoln City Career Technical High School, felt equally rewarded for a successful school year hard won after budget cuts of $1.2 million.
