Organizers of this year’s Lincoln County Fair would like to thank everyone for another successful event, adding that they continue to take pride in highlighting the rich culture and vibrant community celebrated throughout the county.
The county fair is committed to continuing to provide a fun, family friendly, free event annually. The addition of the pro rodeo event proved to be a great success, and organizers are looking forward to promoting Lincoln County once again next year, on July 3-5, 2020.
Officials also extended a thank you to Casey McEneny, who has designed the artwork for the fair poster since OSU Extension took over management of the Lincoln County Fair in 2015. Organizers said McEneny’s artwork has been key in helping promote the fair for several years. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, McEneny has officially retired as the artist for the Lincoln County Fair.
To that end, OSU Extension is soliciting proposals from local artists interested in designing the fair poster that will serve as the basis for advertising for the 2020 event. The selected artist will receive an exclusive for the next three years of artwork. This is an opportunity to showcase your work while also showcasing the county. In order to properly promote the fair, artists should submit samples of their work as soon as possible. This does not need to be the completed poster, but rather concepts roughed out as much as possible.
Proposed artwork must capture a Lincoln County icon or landmark, include the date (July 3-5, 2020), encompass the diversity of the county and foster the sense of community and culture in the county
