County Democrats to seek local office candidates at meeting


Will also discuss Echo Mountain relief, Timber Tax Fairness

Candidate recruitment for monthly offices that will be on the May 18 special election ballot, the status of Timber Tax Fairness legislation and relief efforts and volunteer opportunities to assist residents impacted by the Echo Mountain Complex fire will be discussion topics at February’s monthly meeting of the Lincoln Democratic Party at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 (via Zoom).

In addition, participants will hear updates from elected officials.

The purpose of the Lincoln County Democratic Party and its executive committee is to promote the interests of the Democratic Party in Oregon and Lincoln County, to work for the election of Democratic candidates, adopt a party platform and work to ensure its principles are reflected in law, and to provide a link between Democratic voters, the Democratic Party, and the government.
