WALDPORT — The Waldport City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday regarding the Vista View planned development slated for construction on 7.75 acres adjacent to the end of Kelsey Lane. The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether construction activities will create drainage or pollution problems outside the planned area of the project.
The city council meeting begins at 2 p.m. at city hall, though space may be limited as social distancing measures will be in place. The meeting will also be livestreamed.
In a summary of the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals final order and opinion, City Planner Justin Peterson wrote, “The only issue to be addressed at the public hearing is if construction activities will create a drainage or pollution problem outside the planned area. All other aspects of the proposed planned development have been adequately addressed and described in the preliminary plan approval.”
The city council will also discuss the timeline regarding lodging restrictions in advance of a joint meeting with Lincoln County and other municipalities. The city’s current restrictions expire May 15. Other local municipalities and Lincoln County restricted occupancy of short-term rentals until the end of May.
Also on the agenda is the consideration of letters from people interested in filling a vacancy on the city council, as well as a business license discussion.
