LINCOLN CITY — The top team exited the ninth hole with a winning 57 score Saturday during the annual Brewer’s Classic Golf Tournament at Chinook Winds on Saturday, June 29.

The foursome of Bill Mulholland, Coty Bryant, Jim Schultz and Lynn Powell lead the full field of 24 teams. With a case of cold beer and swag awaiting nearly 100 golfers, the scramble raised $1,220 for the Chinook Winds Scholarship fund that will be fully funded for five Lincoln County graduates starting with the class of 2020.

Following in second place with a score of 58 were Sean Sheridan, Adam Morris, Darrin King and Jeff Elsasser. In third with a 60 were Keaton Fisher, Rylan Fisher, Terry Jensen and Jeff Cobb.

“The donated items were a huge help, including a Bandon Dunes golf for four top prizes donated by Chinook Winds,” reported course spokesperson Heather Hatton.

Meredith Lodging offered a certificate of $500 to any of their properties and Side Door Cafe donated a dinner for two. The next tournament on Saturday, August 25 is the Chinook Winds Classic two-person scramble that will also benefit the scholarship fund.
