Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by the sea

St. Patrick’s Day was Tuesday, March 17. While many were wearing green to avoid pinching, the cliffs and rocks near the ocean can often be seen sporting the lucky color because of seaweed. While eating seaweed is commonly associated with Japanese cuisine, it was a common practice during Ireland’s Great Famine from 1845-49.
