New florist provides full service, year-round in Salishan

A new flower and gift shop has sprouted among the myriad of stores in the Salishan Marketplace.

“Our grand opening was Aug. 6,” Jennifer Graham, co-owner of Cedar Wood Floral Design, said. “We offer full service. We have everyday flowers, flowers for funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, get well and just because. We also do corporate events and weddings and offer custom wreaths for your home.”

Co-owner Andy Graham noted they have gifts like spa products, home goods and cards.

“The cards are handmade,” Jennifer said. “We can also do an in-home consultation for custom colors for your home. We have beautiful jewelry to go with our fresh cut flowers as well. We love to support our local artisans, so we sell Jewelry by DAC and Be Wacky Wanderers. We also have some potted plants. Succulents have been our best seller.”

Jennifer and Andy moved to the coast three years ago after operating a flower shop in Arvada, Colo., for the past eight years.

“We love the coast, and we really wanted to serve Lincoln City and Depoe Bay,” Jennifer said. “I love being in this industry because I learn something new every day, and every day is different. I love all the different seasons. Fall is my favorite time for flowers. I love the contrast of light and dark. It’s just a beautiful time of year for nature.”

Andy said the shop has been designed to constantly evolve.

“We will always have different goodies moving in and out with the seasons,” he said. “The shop will look different every time you walk in.”

Jennifer said their goal is to offer great customer service to the coastal communities and be here for all of their floral needs.

“The Salishan community has been especially supportive,” she said. “They are so excited to have someone to go to instead of going north or south. We are excited for the opportunity to be in the Salishan Marketplace. I’m happy to be here and happy to be back in my passion and working in design. I want to thank my friends, family and local artisans for making our dream a reality.”

They want to thank Salishan as well, Andy added.

“Salishan has been very supportive and business friendly, and it’s been a big help,” he said. “All the locals around Salishan are so excited about how the marketplace is bouncing back so well.”

Cedar Wood Floral Design is located at Suite C-2 in the Salishan Marketplace at 7755 N. Highway 101 in Gleneden Beach.
