On March 16th, 2019, five days before her 94th birthday, Caroline Marie Miller O’Donnell passed peacefully during her morning nap.
Mom was born on March 21st, 1925 on a farm just south of Halsey, OR to Ralph and Georgia Miller. While as a waitress, already engaged for a year and a half, she met a man at the Depoe Café in Albany OR. Thirty eight days later, on the 4th of July, 1945, she married that customer Daniel Duane O’Donnell Sr. Dad preceded her in death after 58 years of marriage in 2003.
Mom and Dad had four children; Colleen (Matt) of Portland, Danny Jr. (Laura) of Waldport, David (Anna) of Newport, and Tim of Newport.
Mother enjoyed steelhead fishing, camping, trolling for large trout on high desert lakes and providing for her family. She loved picnics, BBQ’s, and her grandchildren Jenny, Anna, Marti, Tana, Amber, Dustin, Morgan, Sarah, Emily, and Meghan; plus great grandkids Aveya, Ivy, William, Kian, Kyndall, and Abigal.
