Bonnie Lynn Thomas, age 73, passed away at home in Newport, Oregon on March 26, 2018.
Bonnie was born to Susan Patterson and Richard Riddei in Los Angeles, California on February 16, 1945.
Growing up in the Portland-Scappoose area, Bonnie married Richard Thomas in 1963. Bonnie and her best friend Shirley Sleightam, owned Trucker’s Café in Scappoose in 1975, but most of her career was spend driving school busses for Scappoose School District, and later was promoted to supervisor of School Bus Services for Scappoose. If you had a child in school, you knew Bonnie. She retired in June of 2012 and moved to Newport, Oregon to be near family.
Bonnie is survived by her children: Richard Thomas of Michigan, Lisa Serrata (Juan) of Michigan, and Ty Thomas (Jade) of Seal Rock, Oregon.
Her memory is carried on by her siblings: Tim Goodner (Merryann), Joe Oester, Beth Stewart (David), Margaret Morris, Julie Grainger (David), Kenna Kyaer and Richard Reddei; as well as 14 grandchildren and soon to be 7 great grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Dean Goodner and Grandpa Frank.
