IRISH BOOSTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT

Crestview G.C., Waldport

Saturday, Aug. 17, 8:30 a.m.

The annual Irish Boosters Golf Tournament is slated Saturday, Aug. 17, at Crestview G.C., offers a 2019 Polaris off-road vehicle or $18,000 in cash to the winner of a hole-in-one contest at this year’s event.

Sponsored by C.B. Roofing, the contest is part of an 18-hole-hole, foursome scramble that begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The prize goes to the first person to drop an ace on the ninth hole.

The 2019 Polaris RZR XP 1000 is the top-selling off-road rig in the U.S., with a 14-inch clearance and a 110-hp engine.

The $80 entry ($50 for Junior Golfers) includes green fees, BBQ lunch buffet, and specialty games and prizes. Golfers should call the Crestview G.C. Pro Shop at 541-563-3020 to register by Saturday, Aug. 10.

CHINOOK WINDS CLASSIC

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Chinook Winds G.C., Lincoln City

Sunday, Aug. 25, 1 p.m.

The 2nd Annual Chinook Winds Golf Classic will yield more than $1,000 in cash or Callaway golf equipment credits to the top six teams in this 2-person, 18-hole scramble that begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.

A $300 entry fee includes a practice round with cart on the preceding Saturday. An event worthy of ‘tour’ status, flourishes include a hosted beverage cart during the tournament, and awards dinner and a hosted bar, all to benefit Chinook Winds Educational Fund scholarships for local students.

With nine KPs with $50 pro shop credit and a hole-in-one prize, the Chinook Winds Classic is a feather in any golfer’s cap. For more information, call the pro shop at 541-994-8442.
