INHOUSE Jazz will continue the 2019 Season with a concert hosted by vocalist Annie Averre, featuring Newport’s own trumpet player John Bringetto with pianist Mike Horsfall on Sunday June 30. The musicians have been delighting INHOUSE audiences as a duo now for four summers with their unique repartee, creating unusual and playful musical conversations. Two veterans of the Pacific Northwest jazz scene, they are versatile and well suited to this house concert venue.
John Bringetto sings and plays trumpet, flugelhorn, saxophone and flute. He was born in California and boasting a B.A. and M.A. in music, John has been a professional musician most of his life. For the decade spanning 1999-2009, John played music in many countries as he sailed around the world. He is now living in Newport. John is also band director of the Lincoln Pops Orchestra and plays locally with Perpetua as well as the Bringetto Jazz Duo. John was the band and choir director at Newport High School from 2009-2015.
