Fundraiser to benefit Samaritan House

Preparations for the “A Touch of Paris” afternoon tea benefitting Samaritan House are underway in earnest. The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at First Presbyterian Church in Newport. Ticketholders will be treated to a dazzling luncheon menu, photo booth activities and a handmade quilt raffle.

Tickets for the afternoon tea are on sale for $35 each at Oregon Coast Bank in Newport.

Founded in 1988, Samaritan House is a transitional housing program serving families experiencing homelessness in Lincoln County. Its mission is to shelter, educate and guide homeless families with children toward independent living. In addition to its residency program, Samaritan House offers free parenting education for vulnerable families in the community and leads community coalitions advocating for solutions to homelessness and poverty, such as the Affordable Housing Partners of Lincoln County and Project Homeless Connect.
