A tradition of crafting

Modified: Wednesday, Feb 8th, 2017

Spinners make thread during the Yaquina Fiber Arts Guild Spin-in on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Newport Middle School. Spinners, weavers and crafters from around Lincoln County piled their wares, visited with each other and learned new techniques. The guild welcomes new members and meets the the third Saturday of each month at the Toledo Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 20 vendors sold fiber, tools, jewelry, and soap during the crafter event. The guild is a member of the Weaving Guilds of Oregon, the Association of Northwest Weaving Guilds and the Northwest Regional Spinners Association. (Photo by Gloria Tucker)
